as leave a comment me and twilly d’hermès , we clicked instantly, it was love at first sniff. to me that’s one of the best perfume releases for the last couple of years. this is a spicy peppery white floral fragrance with some cool citrusy undertones. when i first tried it at sephora , i thought if my personality had a scent, then that would be it. twilly is bold, unapologetic and daring, it has classic quality presented in a young and innovative manner. imagine the timeless amarige and loulou blended all together and then sprinkled with some freshly minced ginger on top, well this is kind of how you get twilly d’hermes . it’s a long lasting compliment goddess, a living legend and signature scent worthy. to me this fragrance is a representative for classic beauty without being cliché, like the girl who wears classic red lipstick and black winged eyeliner 1960s style, cartier jewelry and so on. she does everything with a great amount of confidence and individuality. this fragrance lies somewhere between casual and formal which makes it just perfect, i enjoy it day and night and during all seasons. don’t blind buy this, it’s either love or hate with this scent. fortunately, for me it’s all love and appreciation for this young masterpiece. this is my personal mood board for twilly d’hermès by hermès year of release: 2017 perfumer: christine nagel classification: fresh spicy notes: ginger, bergamot, tuberose, jasmine, sandalwood if the scent had a tune: flawless – beyoncé feat. chimamanda ngozi adichie posted in mood boards , reviews - tagged fragrance review , iggy azalea , mood board , scents , vera wang , vera wang princess small empty haul no.1 july 31, 2018 september 9, 2018 - as leave a comment christian dior – j’adore in joy this is an unusual and daring salted sensation, by far the most impressive flanker of the original j’adore. it’s salty, beachy and refreshing without being aquatic. salty fleur de sel definitely stands out and highlights the freshness of the white florals while the whole composition is beautifully finished with the juicy peach note. it lasts for about six hours on my skin with moderate sillage, within an arm’s length or a bit more. j’adore in joy is one of my all time summer faves, my happy fragrance and i will keep repurchasing it as long as it being made and sold. if you love salty scents as much as i do, please go and try this one, it’s pure joy for the senses. year or release: 2017 notes: fleur de sel, peach, ylang-ylang, neroli, jasmine sambac ♥ emporio armani because it’s you – giorgio armani there’s not much i can say about this fragrance, i like it, i just don’t love it. it’s nothing unseen or too spectacular, it’s just the typical raspberry vanilla fruity kind of scent. it’s juicy and sweet but not in a cloying or suffocating way. i find it soothing and a bit lazy, i enjoyed wearing this right before bedtime. to me emporio armani because it’s you is more of a luxurious body mist than it is e au de parfum, as the longevity is weak and the projection too soft. it took me quite a while to finish the whole bottle, now that i finally did, i don’t think i would repurchase this fragrance again. year of release: 2017 notes: rasperry, vanilla, rose, musk, lemon, amberwood, neroli ♥ heavenly – victoria’s secret this is one of the few fragrances i managed to use up really quickly, just because this scent is so addictive, clean and sexy. out of all victoria’s secret fragrances i would rate heavenly as their best. this is an inoffensive classy musky fragrance, good for all seasons and occasions, the scent stays close to the skin, the sillage is very delicate but still detectable to others. the opening is somehow soapy, it kind of reminds me of dove’s micellar water shower gel, but it quickly fades to a pretty powdery musk. my only problem with this perfume is that it’s not long lasting, on me it lasts for two to three hours. i would probably repurchase heavenly again, but just not right away although i did enjoy it a lot, as you can probably tell by the empty bottle. heavenly could be a safe blind buy for those who love clean classic out of the shower type of scents. year of release: 2014 notes: white musk, sandalwood, peony, vanilla ♥ posted in reviews , scent talk - as leave a comment my mom claimed that byzance was ¨the best perfume in the whole world¨, those were her actual words! she was actually looking for it since the mid 90s and couldn’t find it anywhere for so many years or at least not on our eastern european market. in such politically difficult times, back then finding something that good and f rench was nearly impossible. my mom got introduced to byzance around 19 91 , when her best friend brought it from switzerland and she’s been in love with it ever since. just last year i found the new reformulated version online and purchased it immediately. once i tried it, i swear that fragrance somehow triggered my synesthesia, i see the scent in my head as a flowing purple mist while the beautiful ones by prince is playing in the background. my mom says this current version is faithful enough to the original byzance that was launched back in 1987 , but misses some of its depth. honestly, i don’t need this fragrance to be any deeper than it already is. byzance 2017 by rochas is spicy oriental, white floral fragrance, a liquid luxury in a bottle with a heavy golden cap. i would wear this to a major event, like a posh wedding day in a castle. i could compare byzance to fragrances like loulou and eden by cacharel , as they all share that same init
